2nd Annual Soccer Extravaganza set for Nov 18th

Last year LJSC held its first Soccer Extravaganza. Everyone had so much fun we have decide to have another one this year. You are all invited to the second annual Soccer Extravaganza to be held on Friday, dec 2nd at LES. Mark your calendar and stay tune for more details.

Board Positions open
Many of the Board positions are currently held by people who don't have children in the club any more. In the next year, many of these Board members will be vacating their positions leaving a hugh whole to fill in the organizaton. For the club to continue, several parents need to volunteer this year so that the transition is smooth and the club is not affected. Please consider taking on a Board position so the club can continue to thrive. There will be a booth at the Extravaganza so please come learn about the various positions and their responsibilities.

U11 Boys are League Champions
Congratulations go out to the U11 Boys Comp team for their great 2011 season. Because of their terrific season, the U11 Boys team moved on to the district championship playoffs and won.

Sean McGee awarded the 2011 LJSC Senior Scholarship
The 2011 Senior Scholarship was awarded to Sean McGee at the Lyman Memorial HS graduation ceremonies. A $1500 check and an LJSC Senior Scholarship certificate were presented to Sean in recognition of his essay describing the importance of youth sports in his life and his plans to support youth sports in the future. Congratulations Sean! |

Winners of the 2010 LJSC Club Awards
LJSC presented five awards at the Soccer Extravaganza back in November. Coach of the Year went to Nour Jalal, Vounteer of the Year went to Joe Santillo and Mark Mackewicz (you can't miss them at the grill on Fun Day) and referee of the Year went to Katie Hobbs and Stacey Lambert. Pictures of the presentation have been posted in the Awards section.
