Fall 2008 Registration Schedule - April 1st - May 31st
Fall 2008 Registration will begin on April 1st. Registration forms will be available in the Registration Section of this web site for return by mail. The Online Registration option will also go live on April 1st and include instructions for completion.
LJSC will also be mailing out Fall 2008 registration forms to past members in April and holding open registrations in May at the Community Center. All registrations must be received by May 31st.

LJSC Senior Scholarship Applications Due May 15th
The LJSC awards a $1000 scholarship every year to a deserving Lebanon resident who is graduating from an accredited high school in June. Qualification information instructions and the application will be available at Lyman Memorial HS Guidance Office or online on April 1st.
Application packages need to be submitted to the Lyman Guidance Office or mailed to LJSC Senior Scholarship Committee, PO box 90, Lebanon, CT 06249 by May 15th. The scholarship will be awarded at the Lyman HS graduation ceremonies in June. |

UpComing Events:
Registration for the Fall 2008 season will begin in April - April 1st online and mail-in registration begins. On site registration will be held on May 3rd, 10th & 24th .
Tryouts for Fall 2008 LJSC Comp teams will be held in June.
FunDay is scheduled for Oct 4th and 5th. |

Spring '08 Soccer for Kindergarten, U-8 and U-10 Scheduled
LJSC has reserved the LMS gym for a series of Saturday Indoor sessions. All those Kndergarten, U-8 and U-10 palyers that played during the Fall 07 season are welcomed to attend at no charge. A $10 fee will collected for new players.
Dates: March 29th, April 5th, April 12th and April 19th
Times:
9am - 10 am -- Kindergarten
10:15 - 11:30am -- U-8 Boys11:45 - 1pm -- U-8 Girls1:15 - 2:30pm -- U-10 Boys2:45 - 4pm -- U-10 Girls
Don't forget to mark your calendar for LJSC Spring Indoor Soccer. It will be fun for all the kids. |

2007 LJSC Awards Presented
The LJSC Awards were presented in during the Coaches Appreciation Dinner on november 19th.
Three Special Awards were presented:
Coach of the Year - Jim Mello
Referee of the Year - Nicole Chalifoux
Volunteer of the Year -Robin Novotny
One Club Award went to:
Tom Bennett for the tremendous amount of time he spends helping with the day to day operations of the LJSC.
Congratulations to all four recipients and good luck to the Special Awards winners as they are the LJSC nominees for their respective NE CJSA categories.

Coaches Appreciation Dinner Held on November 19th
LJSC held its annual Coaches Appreciation Dinner at the Log Cabin on November 19th. After a social hour and dinner, 4 2007 LJSC awards were presented. A big thank you to all the coaches who volunteered their time for the children of LJSC during the 2007 season. |

Referees Needed for Next Season
If you are interest in refereeing LJSC games next season please contact Dale Allen. LJSC is looking to fill the void left by graduating seniors and needs responsible young girls and boys that are interested in obtaining the necessary licenses. Please see go to the USSF Referee Clinics web site for a listing of referee courses and schedules. |

Perfect Season for the U14 Girls Rec Team
Congratulations to the U14 Girls Rec team. This fall they went undefeated and held their opponents to 1 goal or scoreless the entire season. Congratualtions to the girls and their coaches, Liz Haynes and Dean Smith, for a great season on the field. |

2007 LJSC Senior Scholarship Awarded
The 2007 Senior Scholarship was awarded to Crystal Fauteux at the Lyman Memorial HS graduation ceremonies on Monday, June 18th. A $1000 check and an LJSC Senior Scholarship certificate were presented to Crystal in recognition of her essay describing the importance of youth sports in her life and her plans to support youth sports in the future. Congratulations Crystal!

LJSC is devoting a new section of its web site to past members, LJSC children, who have grown up and continue to play soccer at various levels. Anyone with news can forward their information and pictures to the LJSC Web Director for posting. LJSC is very proud of its history and would like to show off its kids. |
