Lebanon Junior Soccer Club - Club Award
Tom Bennett
Tom is a very valuable member of the Lebanon Junior
Soccer Club. He currently serves on the board as the
secretary and also as a division director and will
soon become our new registrar for 2008. Tom's biggest
attribute is probably his extremely calm demeanor
which he displays as a coach on the sidelines, board
member at a meeting, and volunteering his time to help
our club in numerous ways such as helping to set up
and line fields at the beginning of the spring and
fall seasons, helping out with registration and moving
equipment from LES to Lyman so our kids can play
under the lights.
Tom is another one of those "behind
the scenes" guys who volunteers a tremendous amount of
his time helping with the day to day operation of
LJSC. As secretary, Tom is instrumental in keeping an
open line of communication from the board of directors
to the parents and players as there is a tremendous
amount of information that is posted on line with the
incredible meeting minutes that he records. We are
extremely fortunate to have such a person involved
with the Lebanon Junior Soccer Club.

Lebanon Junior Soccer Club Coach of the Year
Jim Mello
Anyone who has coached a team sport knows how thorough you have to be in planning training sessions and preparing for games. How about two teams at the same time? Jim has just finished a season in which he coached two different teams with the Lebanon Junior Soccer Club. Jim is very organized and always prepared for his training sessions as well as getting information out to his players parents. He is a great role model for the players he coaches and other coaches in the club to follow.
Jim also keeps a very good open line of communication with the field scheduler and referee assignor concerning game scheduling and rescheduling. As a coach, he is definitely contributing to the growth of our young players as he moves up through the coaching ranks and always provides a safe learning environment for all players he is involved with. We applaud Jim for all of his efforts and congratulate him for being selected as the 2007 Lebanon Junior Soccer Club's "Coach of the Year". |

Lebanon Junior Soccer Club Referee of the Year
Nicole Chalifoux
Nicole has done an outstanding job with referee work this year. It's quite obvious that she takes pride in her work as a referee as she arrives at each match assigned at least 20-30 minutes before kickoff in proper referee attire ready to take on any situation that may arise throughout the match. Nicole has a strong understanding of the game of soccer and keeps each match in control from start to finish while always maintaining a level of fairness for both sides involved. She was always available to referee a match throughout the spring and fall seasons and never turned down a match that was assigned to her while always maintaining a great line of communication between herself and the referee assignor. The referee assignor had many very nice compliments concerning Nicole's referee work this season.
Nicole began her soccer playing career in the Lebanon Junior Soccer Club when she was 5 yrs. old at the Kindergarten level and worked her way up through the club playing competitive soccer until she started playing premier soccer for the Oakwood Soccer Club at the U12 age level. She has played four years of varsity soccer at Lyman Memorial High School earning all-conference honors during her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons and all-state honors during her junior and senior seasons. Upon graduation from Lyman Memorial High School in 2008, Nicole is planning on playing soccer in college and has given a verbal commitment to Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire where she will begin her collegiate soccer career. We are extremely proud of Nicole and her accomplishments on the soccer field as a player and also as a referee and are delighted to present her with this award as the Lebanon Junior Soccer Club's "2007 Referee of The Year". |

Lebanon Junior Soccer Club Volunteer of the Year
Robin Novotny
It always seems that when we need people the most, Robin is there to help. She currently serves on the LJSC Board as Uniform Director. Robin always volunteers her time in some capacity to help out with all of the Lebanon Junior Soccer Club functions whether it's planning and decorating for the Valentine's Dance, manning the Registration booth at the Memorial Day Parade, or working the concessions booth at the Fun Day Tournament. In fact, you will find Robin at every LJSC event volunteering her time while she works full time and maintains a family and a new home.
Robin is the true meaning of what a volunteer is and does and we are extremely lucky to have a person of her caliber involved with the LJSC. We congratulate her in being selected as the Lebanon Junior Soccer Club's "Volunteer of the Year". |
