Important NE District Rule Changes for Fall 2007:
The NE membership approved a move to small sided 8v8 play at U11 and U12, starting with U11 in the Fall 2007 district league season. The rationale for this change is based on direction from US Soccer and many credible coaching guidelines. Specifically, the proposal offers small-sided format for all U11 Division 4 teams entering district league play for the Fall 2007 season. This will expand to include small-sided format for all U12 Division 4 teams entering district league play for the Fall 2008 season and U12 Division 3 teams entering district league play whenever CJSA adopts small-sided play for the Connecticut Cup.

NE District Scheduling Meeting
The NE District Scheduling meeting for Fall 2008 will be held on Aug 26th at the Hellenic Center. The Division 5 (Rec)
meeting will start at 6:30 pm and the Division 3/4 meeting will start at 7:45 pm. All coaches must attend in order to establish their teams' schedules.

New Coaches and Training:
LJSC is always in search of quality coaches for Recreational and Competitive teams of all age groups. This past year the club ran two Coaching Training Classes in June for new coaches. There are other CJSA classes available to support the development of quality coaches at the club level. Please join LJSC and make a difference.

Annual "Thank the Coaches" Appreciation Dinner:
The coaches, assistant coaches and team managers, all volunteers, are the foundation of LJSC. Our children are the beneficiaries of these people's dedication and expertise. The LJSC Board would like to show their appreciation for all the hard work and many hours our coaches, assistant coaches and manager put in during the Fall season. Thank you all.
