LJSC Summer Soccer Camp July 21st - July 25th. 
LJSC has signed on with British Soccer to hold a soccer camp this summer at the Lebanon Elementary School the week of July 21st. There is a morning session for 3 to 5 year olds from 9am - 10:30am for $75 and an evening session for 6 - 16 year olds from 5pm - 8pm for $100. The Camp program is run by a team of international experts and all campers receive a free ball and shirt.

Open Soccer on Fridays thru Summer
LJSC will sponsor open soccer for all registered U-12 players (birthdays after 7/31/96) and younger. Open soccer sessions will be held at 6pm at the Lions Field. Come and join the fun!
U-11 Girls Comp are District Champs
Congratulations go out to the U-11 Grils Comp team for a 7-0-1 record and a first place standing in the Northeast District Spring league.
2008 LJSC Senior Scholarship Awarded
The 2007 Senior Scholarship was awarded to Chelsie Dumond at the Lyman Memorial HS graduation ceremonies on Thursday, June 19th. A $1000 check and an LJSC Senior Scholarship certificate were presented to Chelsie in recognition of her essay describing the importance of youth sports in her life and her plans to support youth sports in the future. Congratulations Chelsie!

UpComing Events:
Registration for the Fall 2008 season will begin in April. April 1st online and mail-in registration begins. On site registration will be held on May 3rd, 10th & 24th .
Tryouts for Fall 2008 LJSC Comp teams will be held on June 7, 8, 21 and 22 . Raindate is June 28th.
Fun Day is scheduled for Oct 4th and 5th. |

Fall 2008 Registration Schedule - Apr 1st
Fall 2008 Registration will begin on April 1st. Registration forms will be available in the Registration Section of this web site for return by mail. The Online Registration option will also go live on April 1st and include instructions for completion.
LJSC will also be mailing out Fall 2008 registration forms to past members in April and holding open registrations in May at the Community Center. All registrations must be received by May 31st. After may 31st a $10 late fee is charged. U-10 - u14 registration closes July 31st. Kindergarten and U-8 registrations will be accepted through the first week of the Fall 08 season.

2007 LJSC Awards Presented
The LJSC Awards were presented in during the Coaches Appreciation Dinner on november 19th.
Three Special Awards were presented:
Coach of the Year - Jim Mello
Referee of the Year - Nicole Chalifoux
Volunteer of the Year -Robin Novotny
One Club Award went to:
Tom Bennett for the tremendous amount of time he spends helping with the day to day operations of the LJSC.
Congratulations to all four recipients and good luck to the Special Awards winners as they are the LJSC nominees for their respective NE CJSA categories.

Referees Needed for Next Season
If you are interest in refereeing LJSC games next season please contact Dale Allen. LJSC is looking to fill the void left by graduating seniors and needs responsible young girls and boys that are interested in obtaining the necessary licenses. LJSC is devoting a new section of its web site to past members, LJSC children, who have grown up and continue to play soccer at various levels. Anyone with news can forward their information and pictures to the LJSC Web Director for posting. LJSC is very proud of its history and would like to show off its kids. |
